Choose the feel that suits you without choosing a different mattress. Rua combines a reversible comfort module with an 18cm, 7-zone pocket spring core, giving you a medium gel memory foam surface on one side and a firmer, more responsive latex surface on the other.
To change the feel, simply open the zippered cover and reverse the labelled internal comfort module.
Firmness ratings are indicative. Perceived firmness can vary according to body weight, sleeping position and bed base.

Choose your comfort
The 2cm gel memory foam surface provides a more contouring, cushioned feel. Choose this side if you prefer a medium mattress surface that responds more gradually to your body.
The 2cm latex surface has a firmer, more responsive feel with less sink. Choose this side if you prefer stronger surface support and a little more bounce.
A 3cm mini-spring layer sits between the two comfort surfaces, adding responsive cushioning whichever side you select.
Two spring systems with different roles
Rua combines two spring layers:
· A 3cm mini-spring layer within the reversible comfort module adds responsive cushioning between the latex and memory foam surfaces.
· An 18cm pocket spring core provides the mattress’s principal support.
The main spring system uses different 2.0mm and 2.3mm wire gauges across seven support zones. Because the springs are individually pocketed, they respond independently to pressure and are designed to reduce movement travelling across the mattress.
Reinforced around the edges
A 7cm high-density foam border surrounds the main pocket spring core. This reinforcement helps create a steadier mattress perimeter when sitting or sleeping closer to the edge.
Cool-touch removable cover
Rua is finished with a knitted bamboo-charcoal cool-touch cover designed to create a fresher-feeling sleep surface. A concealed zip allows the cover to be removed for easier care and provides access to the reversible comfort module.
Follow the sewn-in care instructions when cleaning the cover. The latex, memory foam and spring components should not be machine washed.

100-night mattress trial
Try Rua at home for up to 100 nights. Tuala recommends allowing at least 30 nights for your body to adjust to a new mattress.
The trial applies to the mattress only and is subject to Tuala’s trial terms. Regional and remote customers remain eligible, although return transportation may not be covered where collection services are unavailable.
10-year limited warranty
Rua is covered by Tuala’s 10-year limited mattress warranty. Full warranty conditions should be reviewed before purchase.

No. Rua contains a reversible comfort module inside the zippered cover. Open the cover, remove the labelled comfort module, turn it over and return it to position with your preferred surface facing upward.
The gel memory foam side has a medium 5/10 feel and is the softer of the two surfaces. The latex side has a firmer 7/10 feel.
The memory foam surface has a more gradual, contouring response. The latex surface feels firmer and more responsive, with less sink.
Yes. The reversible comfort module contains a 3cm mini-spring layer, while the mattress’s primary support comes from a separate 18cm, 7-zone pocket spring core.
No. Rua is a hybrid mattress combining latex, gel memory foam, mini springs and an individually pocketed main spring system.

Just received my Tuala Rua mattress. The lovely delivery gentleman even helped me take the mattress upstairs which I was very impressed with. The fabric of the mattress has a cool touch and and feels solid. Not sure if it’s placebo when you buy something new but definitely have been sleeping well the last few nights after the swap… Thanks team Tuala for your prompt service, delivery and great product.

I love it. It feels just right and to know I can adjust the firm/med feels is a bonus. I can move all around and it doesn’t move or bounce. It’s warm and dense and feels like quality.
I have now had 2 weeks on the Tuala Mattress and it has changed my partners and mines sleep. It is the best quality foam mattress almost replicating a spring mattress in its firmness (that is adjustable). Compared to other mattresess in this category it is the most value i have gotten which is felt in its weight and ability to evenly distribute weight making us sleep so much cooler. Recommend to a fee of my family and friends and even better if you live in an apartment it comes with wheels to make moving easier

The design of this hybrid mattress is totally unique - I've never seen anything quite like it. It manages to be firm and supportive and insanely comfortable, thanks to the foam insert. A huge bonus is that it actually stays cool all night long (goodbye sweaty sleep!). Plus, the videos don't lie about the motion isolation - my partner can move around all he wants during the night and I don't feel a thing. Would highly recommend this mattress!
